2021 Grant Recipients

The 2021 ACT raised $78, 995 during the event, to help fund the following recipients:

 

Delta King Place: The Delta King Place provides assisted living services in Kitimat BC.

$3,489 – Snowthrower for Kiwanis Village

Kitimat Arts for Youth: The Kitimat Arts for Youth (KAFY) supports all visual and performing arts for youth in the communities of Kitimat and Kitamaat Village.

$7,500 – Instrument Purchases and Repair, Theater Camp, Music Camp, Instrument Clinics

Kitimat Community Development Centre: The Kitimat Community Development Centre (Kitimat CDC) is a family resource centre providing child, youth, family and community services in Kitimat.

$20,916 – Preschool nutrition support, Health Babies Program, Furnishings and Lighting for Various Client Services

Kitimat Community Services Society: Is committed to improving the quality of life for all citizens in the Kitimat Valley by providing programs to enhance personal, academic, and employment potential.

$4,774 – Blinds, Book Cart and Books, treadmill

Royal Canadian Marine Search and Rescue Society, 63 Kitimat:  The Royal Canadian Marine Search and Rescue (RCMSAR 63 Kitimat) makes funds available to purchase vessels and equipment to maintain life-saving services on the greater Douglas Channel area.

$2,016 – Fire Pumps

Kitimat Museum & Archives: Provides arts, heritage, and cultural services to Kitimat citizens and visitors.  Funding is spent on Museum services, youth programming, and exhibitions for the benefit of Kitimat, Haisla and the region.

$6,500 – Feasibility Study

Kitimat Understanding the Environment: Kitimat Understanding the Environment (KUTE) aims to educate the public about environmental protection, and to protect the environment by operating a recycling depot.

$2,016 – Pamphlets, Technology Upgrade

Tamitik Status of Women Tamitik Status of Women (TSW) provides services for the underprivileged, empowering clients for further growth and independence in a time of need, crisis or hardship.  TSW programs reduce isolation while increasing social connections.

$20,000 – Support Furniture Exchange, Free Store and Pop-up Store
